FACES NORTH TO SOUTH

Faces North to South is an instant-photo project which aims to capture the changing human face across the surface of the earth from North to South. Why instant film? Firstly, It allows the opportunity to give a personalised gift to the people I ask to photograph. It creates a two-way interaction. Secondly, I wanted to create a physical treasure of images, not a hard drive full of pixels. Something that could be damaged or effected by its physical environment - something to look after and protect.

This leg of the project took us from London to Cape Town, driving the entire length of Africa. We drove for nearly 6 months covering 18,000 miles and visiting 20 different countries. We set out to celebrate, discover and explore the human face as it dramatically changes across this beautiful planet we call home. This is a small curation of images from our journey.
